Does your SIM show a different caller ID (CLI) or phone number than the one you have registered with?
Many of our SIMs have two phone numbers; a Primary and a Secondary.
In some instances, the phone number or caller ID (CLI) shown by your SIM when sending an SMS or making a call may be different than the number you expected.
The likely reason is that your SIM is using the Secondary number as the caller ID rather than the Primary number.
Heres how it works...
Your SIM can receive calls and SMS on either the Primary or Secondary number at any time.
Some UK networks MAY charge to call or send SMS to the Primary number. If this is the case, you can send or call the Secondary number so that your network does not charge out of your contract minutes or SMS allowance or bundle.
To set your caller ID
You can change the caller ID of your SIM from within your account under My SIMs, Action, Set visible caller ID.
